THE ULTIMATE
Students on Mr. Rose 6th grade team will be traveling to New Market Battlefield on June 6th for a field trip. We would like to have permission slips turned in to 1st block teachers by Friday, May 20th. We will still accept forms after that date, but would appreciate them being turned in before as it helps us to better prepare.
I am really looking forward to one last field trip with this group and hope that you will enjoy learning about the Civil War from our own backyard of New Market. Click the button below to make a copy if you need a permission form!

The Final 9 week grading period is finally here. This year has flown by! To start off the grading period we will be ending up the Westward Expansion Unit and transitioning into the Social Reform Era of the early 19th century and finishing with the American Civil War. We will be wrapping up westward expansion by creating stop-motion videos as an assessment based project. Let's finish the year on a strong note! Please remember to continue to bring ChromeBooks to school CHARGED. THANKS!!
The second term has come to an end. It is unbelievable how fast this year is going by! Students did a great job this past term. The bulk of our studies were focused on explorers, colonization, and the beginning of the American Revolutionary War. All grades are updated on Powerschool. If you have any questions about grades please reach out to me! In Term 3 we will be continuing with the American Revolution and shifting to westward expansion next. Hopefully we have some warmer weather on the way as well! Keep working hard! - Mr. Rose
It is hard to believe but we have reached the end of the 1st 9 week grading period at Elkton Middle School. In history class we have successfully finished the Geography, Native Americans, & Age of Exploration Units. Report cards will be going home the week of 11/8-11/11 and students are out of school Friday November 12. I just want to remind everyone to study for the upcoming Age of Exploration assessment on Thursday November 11. Study guides are made available for all students in schoology under the age of exploration folder. Thanks - Mr. Rose
